After a number of years working in senior human resources roles for international companies, I decided on a major career change and went on to study Garden Design for a year at The English Gardening School based in The Chelsea Physic Garden in London

The company is called 'Downdale' as it was the name of successive houses belonging to my Grandparents (a combination of their surnames) who were also avid gardeners.

The opportunity to make clients lives easier by designing their gardens has been something I have really valued in changing careers . I really enjoy building long term relationships with my clients and seeing their gardens grow & flourish over time. I still see many that I have worked on and get much satisfaction from seeing how well things have grown & the garden developed over time.
